The competition is now down to the final four, with defending powerhouses and emerging talent preparing for what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to Johannesburg's premier youth tournament.

Mamelodi Sundowns booked their place in the last four with a commanding 2-0 victory over Tuks. The Brazilians controlled possession for much of the contest and made their dominance count with two well-taken goals, keeping a clean sheet to comfortably advance.

The closest contest of the day saw the University of Johannesburg edge JVW Easterns 1-0. With little separating the two sides, UJ capitalised on their opportunity before producing a disciplined defensive display to protect their slender lead and seal a semi-final berth.

Kaizer Chiefs continued their impressive campaign with a convincing 2-0 win over Panorama Football Club. Amakhosi Ladies once again showcased their attacking quality and defensive organisation, extending their unbeaten run and setting up a mouth-watering semi-final against Sundowns.

The final quarter-final produced the most entertaining encounter of the afternoon as Mamelodi 11 Stars came from behind to defeat Future Stars Ladies 2-1. The hard-fought victory completed the semi-final line-up after an intense battle that kept supporters on the edge of their seats.

Semi-final Fixtures

  • Mamelodi Sundowns vs Kaizer Chiefs - 08:00
  • University of Johannesburg vs Mamelodi 11 Stars - 08:00

With a place in the final at stake, both fixtures promise high-quality football as four of the tournament's strongest teams battle for EKOC U20 Ladies glory.

Meanwhile, the race for the Golden Boot is heating up. Kaizer Chiefs' Lumka Qhekeka continues to lead the goal-scoring charts with five goals, cementing her status as one of the tournament's standout performers.

Trailing behind the prolific striker are Kusaselihle Shibase, Nobahle Mdelwa, Nonhlanhla Maci, Matobane Moshugi, Leonay Kock, Rethabile Molefe and Akani Maluleke, who have each netted two goals.

The big question ahead of Sunday's action is whether the "goal-scoring machine" Lumka Qhekeka can maintain her lead and finish as the tournament's top scorer, or whether one of her closest challengers will close the gap.

Fans are encouraged to make their way to Marks Park on Sunday to witness the semi-finals and find out who will book their place in the EKOC U20 Ladies final, and whether Lumka Qhekeka will claim the Golden Boot.
